The Role:

Elusav recruitment have a very exciting opportunity for a BID Writer to join one of Europe's leading Engineering contractors on a large construction project in Dublin, Ireland.

The bid writer will report to our Bid Coordination Lead and the preconstruction project manager and will be responsible for developing texts and write-ups for our proposals. The role also requires reviewing and editing of previously written content, working with other team members to produce written bid proposals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Writing of bid proposals with an excellent attention to detail and with a high technical knowledge.
  • Proof reading and editing of text from other team members.
  • Identify the keys selling points with the project manager and ensure these are highlighted in the written proposal.
  • Manage a library of standard template documents.
  • And many other interesting aspects of the project and the tendering process.

Job Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and an ability to take out the important messages in the proposal and highlight them.
  • Ability to proof read and streamline texts from different writers.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator.
  • Possibly a journalism background with high technical knowledge.
  • Proven involvement in construction bid writing.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
