The Role:
Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager within a renowned international construction company in Groningen, Netherlands.
As the Project Manager you will deliver project management services within a data centre environment. The position will be familiar with operating policies and procedures and ensure that projects under their control meet strict customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the project team and the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the set-up, management of and closing out of the safety file.
- Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager including monitoring, management and close out of file.
- Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Project Team and Client requirements.
- Management of all costs associated with Project including: Labour; Material; Plant and Equipment; Variations; Valuations.
- Management of all day-to-day site operations.
- Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractors.
- Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
- Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
- Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the support of the site project director.
- Implement, manage and update as necessary the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and liaise with the team for implementation.
- Monitor that the subcontractors have sufficiently resourced the project being delivered to maintain the delivery schedule.
- Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
- In conjunction with the site planner, manage the weekly collaboration / lookahead meetings with the site team.
- Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are being captured and costs issued to the client.
- Develop and implement company procedures with the package managers.
- Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
- Collaboration with clients rep/design team.
- Negotiation of contracts with commercial team.
- Ensuring permit and licences from authorities are in place.
- Ensure project is specification compliant.
- Manage project resources and determine needs in line with project budget limitations.
- Plan all construction operations with team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Manage advance warnings and delay notifications.
- Hold prestart meetings with all subcontractors before starting on site.
- Prepare detailed weekly report for project director.
- Manage project costs in order to meet budget and ensuring project admin is up to date.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years’ work experience in a similar role.
- PC literate with strong competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to liaise with various support functions.
- Management of site team and all disciplines.
- Travel and working abroad will be required for this role.
