The Role:

Elusav Recruitment are looking for a Vessel Design Engineer to join the team in a global integrated technologies solutions company in the Life Sciences industry.

Reporting to the Vessel Design Manager you will play a pivotal part in delivering projects to our wide range of customers. You will work with the Vessel Design team along with interacting with projects, quality & production departments ensuring we deliver high-quality, technical process solutions to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse client specifications & vessel data sheets.
  • Generate vessel drawings & calculations using AutoCAD, Inventor & PV Elite.
  • Work closely with production and the quality department ensuring that drawings issued for construction meet the highest standard.
  • Generate and maintain vessel material database and control of project documentation.
  • Execute internal design reviews with the production & quality department.
  • Work with other internal departments to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist with incoming inspection of project equipment.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and identify and manage any risks to the project’s schedule or commercial objectives.
  • Quality inspections of equipment.
  • In-process inspection during the construction phase.

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Project Engineering degree or equivalent- e.g. a qualified tradesperson with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Project Engineering / Pharma design role.
  • Experience of Bio-Pharma/ Pharma Unit operations or aseptic processes gained within an engineering design office or equipment supplier. 
  • Must have 3D design experience and preferably experience using 3D AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks. 
  • Experience with ASME VIII Div 1, PD5500 & PED 2014/68/EU and advantage but not essential. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all organizational levels. 
  • Self-confidence and maturity with a see it, say it, solve it attitude.
